RICKMAN HALL kennel

Miniature and Standard Bullterriers

About us

I’ve been professionally involved in dog-breeding since 1972, when after accomplishing appropriate courses I was conferred the rank of a dog-trainer. In 1972-1975 I worked at the “Pokrovskoe Streshnevo” dog-training school, where I met my wife Zoya – she came into my student group to train her Airedale Terrier. In 1976-1977 I was the Chief Trainer of dog-training school named “Koptevo-2”. In 1976 after successful finishing courses and probation period, I was given the status of a judge, which for that time had combined two in one – breed judge and working trail judge. For the current moment I have a rank of International Judge RKF (FCI) – CACIB (Rus).

In 1977 my wife had also accomplished courses for the rank of judge. She is the closest assistant in all kennel proceedings and a great handler, showing our dogs. My wife and I, we had many dogs of different breeds. We started with the Bullterriers in 1999, when first owned Standard Bullterrier Russian Gaze Warrior (Khariton) and understood right away – it is OUR breed. In 2001 we got another Standard male – Russian Gaze Viscount de Paramon (Paramon). Both males had become International Champions, shining at dog-shows, including such prestigious ones as the “Eurasia” and “Russia”; they both took an active part in breeding, only Khariton had produced about 50 puppies as a stud.

In 2006, taking into consideration our ages, we decided to switch to Miniature Bullterrier and bought a great bitch Q-Russian Beauty von der Alten Veste in the famous German kennel “von der Alten Veste”.

Our small kennel is located in a pictorial place of Moscow region in 12 km from Moscow in old suburban settlement Firsanovka (now a district of Khimki city). We don’t have any special quarters for dogs, each of them has its own room in our house, and total amount of rooms allows us to keep this principle, when increasing livestock. Well-fortified fence let the dogs walk freely in the garden.

We don’t pose a problem of producing a large amount of puppies for earnings. Our goal in breeding is getting excellent show and breeding dogs. We plan to keep a puppy for ourselves from each of our litters and don’t plan to have litters often. All of this makes us thoroughly approach in pairing; carefully consider genotype and phenotype of the dogs. Health of future puppies is no less important for us.
